This 2007 quilt was inspired by the hard work and
dedication of the founder of Circuit Riders. He was
a born again Christian who had the calling to bring
others like himself back into the arms of Christ. He
was an outlaw biker who found Christ and wanted
others to know him also. I drew and embroidered the
center to represent his affiliation with motorcycles
and with Christ. The bright colors of the quilt
represents the love that can be found through
Christ's teachings of God's Word. The black
represents the temptation that is always there. My
chapter of Circuit Rider's (The Sons of Thunder)
raffled this quilt off as a fund raising project for
our chapter. The funds will go to help support the
orphanages, medical supply ships and multiple
missions in South America that we support. |
